中山グランドジャンプ２００２情報
毎年恒例となっているアメリカのとあるマスコミサイトからのパクリ記事ですが､今年はその雑誌の記者がイギリスに行ってしまったため（去年はカンパネールに帯同してくれたのに）、今年はとても情報が少ないです。

AMERICAN HOPEFUL ALL GONG ON TARGET FOR JAPAN
All Gong, America's representative in Saturday's Nakayama Grand Jump, received his gate card from the Japan Racing Association and is on target for a start in the $1.2 million race, the world's richest steeplechase.
Being run for the third time, the Nakayama includes eight starters from international countries (England, France, Australia, New Zealand the U.S.) and eight from the host country. Japan won the first two runnings.
Owned by Tennessee's Calvin Houghland, All Gong prepped for the race with a win in a training flat race at Camden, S.C. March 30. He schooled from a starting gate (U.S. and English jump races don't use a gate) this week, and jumped several fences Thursday in final preparations under the care of trainer Bruce Miller.
"I talked to Bruce this morning and everything seems good," said assistant Eddie Graham. "The horse is eating, and seems to be right on track. If he handles the different jumps and he handled the shipping all the way over there I think he'll run well and might be able to get a piece of it. He's trained super this year, like his old self again."
All Gong, the 2000 steeplechase champion, finished second in five of six starts in 2001 while going winless. The son of Kris will be ridden by regular jockey Blythe Miller. American horse Campanile was fifth in the 2001 Nakayama, while Ninepins finished ninth in 2000. Japanese horse Gokai won both runnings.
The race includes foreign representatives Banker Count, Cenkos and Exit Swinger from England; Ty Benjam and Dom Lyphard from France; Rand from New Zealand; St. Steven from Australia and All Gong. Rand started twice in the U.S. last year, winning the Iroquois Steeplechase (NSA-I) and finishing third to Pompeyo and All Gong in the Royal Chase (NSA-I).
Post time for the race is approximately 3 a.m. (Eastern) Saturday.
